The Biden Administration has just put its foot down against providing any long-range or strategic weapons to the Ukraine. Instead, they will send more Javelins (woohoo!!!) among other gear, to include an unspecified but likely “demo” quantity of HIMARS with **short-range** rocket launchers borrowed from the M270 MLRS system—with a promise from Kiev that these weapons won’t be pointed at Russia’s borders. This obviously won’t change the course of the war, and in fact, is ridiculous until you understand that it is PURE DOMESTIC POLITICS, which I go into in this video. Enjoy!

Just watched a video by an Austrian army PhD with the same essence. The last of the two biweekly youtube-updates by army eggheads were much too optimistic for Ukraine, stressing a Kessel (cauldron) battle from WW2 in the same region when the Wehrmacht was the attacker and the Soviets the defenders (probably dubious for informing the current situation). At the same time, those commentators are obsessed with particular weapon systems; this week the HIMARS is supposed to be the game-changer. No word on morale in a deeply corrupt and exploited nation.

The Austrian army guys on youtube are fawning over “winning the information war” and “on the economic front” presumably because all they read is MSM. The MSM comments are usually about the necessity of Russia losing and the relentless heroism of Ukrainian soldiers, not about any actual military development. Propaganda used to be an art, but in the 21st century, the elites are just phoning it in.

Hi! I think you sound too optimistic in that Russia will not see this as an escalation of war. It’s almost like you are apologizing for your government warmongering policies. Russia does not bluff so… On a different subject. I would like to know more how does Ukraine defend and how Russia attacks. How does Ukraine protect the links in the line of defense. How do entrenchments work with each other to hold the lines. What are the weapons used to stop the enemy advance and how do you replace and recover destroyed entrenchments. On the other hand how do Russia attack the entrenchments. What weapons. How do they approach. On those deep and concrete trenches. what to do when most ukrainian soldiers survive and are defending well. well, you know what I mean. I think a little bit more detail on attack and defense would be a nice topic to develop. Thank you
regarding trenches and soft targets, russians probably inspect and study ukraine positions with Orlan type UAV, and they deliver this info to artilery which shower them with salvos from various MLRS Grad, Uragan or Smerč. After that they send drones again to see what is left alive before infantry takes this part of land to minimize infantry loses.
How about you call Vladimir Putin and Zelensky directly and ask them all those questions you have. I’m sure they’d be delighted.

Others, France 24 and The New Atlas, are reporting that HIMARS ARE being sent to Ukraine. Someone is right, someone is wrong.

Lots of contradictory info out there, but if HIMARS, or even M270s make it to Ukraine, I suspect they won’t go to the Donbas front. I think that’s already been recognized as lost. Holding Dnipro is the best UA can hope for.
Instead, I’d expect them to be deployed in defence of Odessa/Mykolaiv and Lvov where a modicum of re-supply could conceivably be maintained. These systems are worse than useless when they’re not consuming staggering amounts of ammo so sending them east is a fool’s errand.
Strategically, Odessa is key to both sides. UK was building a naval base there. Lvov isn’t militarily important except it’s the heartland of the UA Natsee movement and so will be defended at all costs against the De-Nazification component of RU’s campaign. Poland has cast a covetous eye on it as well, so there’s that too.
I may have spoke too soon. Reports have it that the Transcarpathian rail tunnel on the main route into UA for heavy eqpt has been closed by a Kalibr missile. Reports that it exploded inside the tunnel are a little hard to believe, but if they’re true(ish) the tunnel will be closed for the foreseeable future. Thus, even Odessa becomes a stretch.
Great report. I would not be surprised if the U.S. provide some intel to the Russians about the logistics of the HIMARS once it gets to Ukraine.
Joe Biden just published an op-ed article in New York Times, with his name on it, saying that United States is not provoking Russia and he will only send the short-range rockets to Ukraine and not give them the long-range rockets. He also said he told Ukrainians to not attack targets inside Russia. I think he really is trying to not provoke Russia any more, I think he came to the conclusin that the situation in Ukraine is hopeless (for USA) and there is nothing to be gained by further escalation at this point.

Once a drone finds a MLRS supply truck (and there will be many to feed these beasts) it will follow it to its destination and/or source. Coordinates will be sent to the Russian command and then late at night while crickets are chirping away, all hell will break loose.
By your “late night” launchers would have moved elsewhere. Response required is typically less than 30 minutes.

The longer range missiles use GPS, which can be jammed by the Rooskies upon detection of launch.
There should be aerostat (tethered blimps) stations all along the borders of both Belarus and Russia fronting Ukraine and maybe a few other unfriendly countries. (These go up, and never go down other than for strong storms. They should have every sensor imaginable, record everything, and AI to detect movements and discern any paterns. This is to watch both ground and air for all activities.
But whatever you do, so not mention the German tanks ammunition is manufactured inside Israel, and has an end user agreement, and Israel insists that no ammunition it produced is allowed to go to Ukraine. (Israel is backing Russia, regardless of any published misdirection) So, Germany can sent the tanks, but Germany can not send any ammunition for thr tanks main gun.
I expect Ukraine to run out of troops long before U.S. Midterm elections in November!
I expect elections in Ukraine, but instead of folks in Donbass not having their votes counted, it will be Galicia not getting votes counted while Donbass votes will count. Galicia will get kicked out of Ukraine. (Back when the war was hot about 8 years ago, folks in Galicia were killing each other over smuggling routes!)

I thought I knew a little bit about the Ukrainian nationalists wickedness but the more I find out the worse, they’ll start with anyone. I wouldn’t be surprised if they aim a few of these at NATO ie American forces near the border. They’ll drag America in one way or the other, and then in fifty years time this same bunch of psychos grandkids will still be causing somebody grief.

The issue comes from Africa & middle East, they will massively migrate to EU, and this could drive to a regime change in various EU countries due to various reasons. Option 1 : Patriots takes the power, many of the current EU Officials go to jail, Option 2 : Replaced by “extra” EU, they have to flee, and EU will become new Lebanon.

The militarized France with superior longer-range rifles, larger highly motivated mobilized population and powerful machine guns were crushed again and again by the Germanic artillery supplied with large quantities of shells from train networks and large depots with all types of war material prepositioned along the front. The French populace aggressively attacked German military units not like the Ukraine of today. Russia has the artillery advantage to a greater degree than did the nascent Germany of 1871-2. The artillery takes time and millions of shells and rockets to beat down the Ukraine’s fortifications. The Russians would not have begun the operations without large enough quantities of munitions to win an attrition war. Eastern Ukraine is the best farmland on Earth, warm water ports, with an educated technically experienced work force. Russia a decade from now will be a much wealthier and relatively powerful polity. Food and energy are increasingly scarce essential resources. The United States has a sphere of influence in North America and will not tolerate China or any powerful country having military bases or political influence in North America. Russia has a sphere of control in Eurasia. Where the Russian Federation will not tolerate major powers coming in to gain control and influence. It is hypocritical to control Nicaragua and Panama then tell Russia they cannot control Georgia and Crimea.
Russia MoD says the HIMARS are part of a false-flag operation. Ukies load a lot of civilians into an area, drive the HIMARS in, target Russian city, Russian flatten the place, suddenly MSM screaming about dead civilians and Russian atrocity!

Maybe this is really going to be a “game changer”. Maybe Russia would have to attack US forces directly after this?
I don’t see how, it’s not like they are invisible to radar. Hellfire missiles won’t give these drones the range to avoid air defenses.
Poodles that they are, and not to be outdone, the Brits have announced they are also sending M270 MLRS systems, though theirs looks a bit crappy especially in comparison with that thermobaric or incendiary TOS-1A “Solntesepek” beast, mounted on a T-90 MBT chassis.
Both are largely irrelevant when the Russians have air superiority/supremacy, and since Zelensky’s proven to be more interested in hitting Ukrainian civilian areas with his artillery, whether they can reach across the border or not is neither here nor there…
