I had heard about this earlier today. It did get me worried.
I also heard rumors about new attempts made on Snake Island (but not sure those are real).
Why worried ? I continue to be surprised of Ucr still very able to inflict damage/losses. We certainly will need more details on how the attack on the platform was done, apparently both missiles and aircrafts. The allies shoot down ucr planes every day, I have had doubts from day one as to Russian air superiority, unless the definition was recently changed. Ucr continues to have assets in the air. Russian defenses have been repeatedly penetrated. I don’t get it. I would expect Russia to be easily capable of imposing a true no fly zone on the territory.
Best way to drain Nato of weapons and wealth is to let them have enough “success” to fool their public into allowing them to denude the common weal.

Check definitions of Air “Parity”, “Favorable air situation”, “Superiority” and “Supremacy” and you´ll see that on 404 un-liberated territory the Russians got “Superiority” while they got “Supremacy” otherwise, that doesn´t mean that the Ukies never get a “Hussar” raid type of needle attack in though. War isn´t at all as Hollywood and the Lamestream news tells us it is, or rather, War between somewhat equal parties isn´t the pure bloody rout that we usually see when the US attack some 3rd world nation.
You should not loose sight of the fact that this is a US/NATO war vs Russia and so they can find the holes to slip a raid through in the Pentagon(the real Center of control) so that is to be expected.

The NATO (military wing of Wall St) goading of and lying to Russia has always been about Regime Change to get access to Russia’s natural resources cheap. The peasants of Russia don’t know how to enjoy that wealth properly, the 1% do! (If you’re American – that’s sarcasm)
I think the game plan has always been to start a war and use it as an excuse for “shock and awe” sanctions that would collapse the Russian Govt. which would be replaced by a client/puppet like Zalensky.
They were so sure their scheme would work that they never considered what to do in this position.
Now we have two opponents, neither of whom can lose and continue to exist, both nuclear armed and one side is winning.

I think the hatred stems from the fact, that when the soviet Union collapsed, native Russians had the nerve to grab all the resources and make themselves oligarchs, and western oligarchs didn’t get to carve the place up like Africa during colonialism
It has been the practice that air superiority means that you largely control the air and the enemy cannot mount major attacks that threaten that superiority. Air supremacy means that the enemy has no effective ability at all to attack aerially. At least that’s the terminology I was taught when I was in the US Air Force. What the Russians have is air superiority, air supremacy is what the US had in Afghanistan where the Taliban had no air forces at all. It’s really tough getting air supremacy. Even in the last months of WW2 Germany and Japan were still fighting in the air.
You should read Jacob’s earlier reports to get a clearer view. The Russians have not been destroying the infrastructure of Ukraine as this article states, so I guess that is why The UKs can bring in new planes and have a place to land them. When you have dip shits from every western country flying in to visit the country there must free access to airports. As Jacob has stated here that may be no more.
The destruction of the West is what is happening. The US government and all it agencies are compromised by Globalist stooges. China, Russia, Israel are the new beneficiaries until they have nothing left to give. Then someday down the road it will be someone else’s turn. DNR/LNR ie: Rus, can do a lot of hurt without too much impact on recovery. Hit a switchyard of a power station for example, and during a war it would be impossible to replace, and probably next to impossible in a Special-K Military Ops, but once the dust is settled, Rus or China parts could get it back on line in days to help with the Nazgul hunting by locals. That it has not been done by now suggest there is too much value in allowing Ukr to still have power, like signal intelligence or having Civilian hunkering down in place consuming resources. Not sure if this will change, the value of leaving them opperating, so if Russia was to really hurt Ukr, the best bet would be to take come of those American missiles they captured and have “t-error-ist” hit data center of banks where the Uk are parking their ill gotten gains, that’s if they can’t hack into them.
Zelensky and his puppeteers are either in panic mode or stupid.
With the civilians of Donetsk city still being bombing and now the oil rigs off Crimea, Russia may have to rethink their strategy and go all out perhaps with a “scorched earth tactic” and start taking out all Kiev/Ukie command and control centers, SBU and Govt headquarter buildings, tv and communication towers, barracks, bridges, railways, airport runways, refineries and oil storage etc.

So I guess the Calibers hitting “50 generals and officers” (i read 50 officers including generals) at a small village 25km outside Kiev was probably that.

The Russians so far have shown remarkable strategic thinking and restraint. This should not disrupt their war game plan, though some retaliatory strikes are expected. If these are weapons made from the West, as I suspect they are, Russia will have a talk with the U.S, and maybe execute a couple of prisoners of war to demonstrate. Signs of desperation abound.
After the latest Nato/Zelensky meeting, the cornered rats look like they have decided to go for broke as not only the rhetoric has gone full 180 degrees from ” accepting some lost territory” to “the war will last for years”, and a very dangerous level with the attack in Crimea. It will be very interesting to see the Western MSM spin on the escalation … maybe “Ukraine successful in new attempt to take back Crimea.” At least we can take heart that Russia will end this sooner rather than later as they have been sending out the message loud and clear that “enough is enough”

I disagree. Abandoning their MO over 7 dead civilians and a damaged platform just ain’t the RU MoD’s style. They would’ve anticipated this sort of provocation during the planning stages and I’d be surprised if they’d concluded that it crossed a threshold that would force a loosening of the “rules of engagement” they’d set for the operation. The thresholds for escalation would’ve been decided long ago, and if shelling Donetsk with abandon for days didn’t breach them, this certainly wouldn’t.
Frankly, given the Ukrainians’ operating skills with these systems, it wouldn’t surprise me if they mistook the platform for a ship in the heat of another failed attack on Snake Island. Or, alternatively if the platform had a military function. It was almost ideally located…
I do expect RU to throw one or more brush-back pitches to let the UA know they’re not amused, but more than that just doesn’t fit. The salvo of Kalibrs on the hi-level meeting that killed 50+ officers incl Generals may have been just such a brush-back, for both the platform hit and for Donetsk.
The more NATO and the EU denudes itself of weapons, the more Russia destroys or captures these weapons… the weaker NATO becomes and the stronger Russia becomes. Feeding Ukraine is actually feeding Russia. What happens if NATO has no more weapons to give Ukraine, EH?? Then Russia can waltz unto Europe.

I don’t think Russia has any wish to “waltz into Europe”, but I’ve long thought that the stream of weapons coming into Ukraine smells of maskirovka.
I believe that the Kremlin’s been gaming this for at least a decade. Maybe more, and so they must’ve gamed weapons deliveries as well. The fact that they haven’t gone all out to prevent them tells me that they see some advantages in letting at least some through…
– by destroying them at a distance, Russia gets to show off the prowess of its Kinzhal, Kalibr and Onyx stand-off weaponry, and exposes the West’s inability to defend against them.
– by destroying/capturing them at close range (and the forces using them) they expose how ineffective they are. That greatly harms the Western armament industry’s international sales. Who needs (expensive) weapons that lose wars?
– by letting them in in large numbers, they de-militarize NATO on “home ground” without facing NATO proper. It’s a lot less trouble and expense to blow up NATO’s MTBs, APCs, howitzers, etc in the Donbas than having to invade the UK or Spain to do it. The fact that the eqpt is being deployed by lightly trained personnel makes it that much easier, and much less painful.
Quite a few birds get killed with that one stone.
The net result is that the world may have had its doubts about NATO’s real power, but by wasting half its useful inventory to no avail in UA NATO has removed all doubt. Now everyone knows it’s a paper tiger, probably unable to defend even itself. So, spreading its gospel to Asia & Africa will increasingly raise only smirks ‘n giggles.
I’m a life member of the NRA. Yesterday, I got the July edition of the Association’s newsmag, American Rifleman, and was very disappointed to see a major article and at least one editorial supporting the Ukraine, both laced with inflammatory, tendentious language plus the usual lies about ”victorious” Ukrainian military efforts. Till now, NRA has refrained from printing any of this kind of ‘rah-rah Ukie’ NATO/Western propaganda. In the article about Ukie snipers, there is a photo of Olena Bilozerska, a former journalist turned sniper whom the magazine IDs as a “Ukrainian freedom fighter.” But somewhere I remember reading that this lady was a cheerleader for Ukrainazi organizations like Right Front in the past (perhaps she still is). Does anyone reading here at thedreizinreport have more information on her goosestepping, arm-raising sallies in the past? I speak neither Ukrainian nor Russian so I’m at the mercy of those familiar with publications in those languages for concrete information about Olena and her past associations.

Here its stated that she was active at the maidan 2014 and went to the “right sector” from 2014-2015 from there she went to the ukrainian volunteer army. Back then a militia if i remember correctly.

In the magazine article I cited the author, a retired US Army major named John Plaster, proudly recounts that Bilozerska once filmed through her rifle’s thermal scope the killing of three Russian soldiers (or perhaps allied troopers, since the major is quite dodgy about historical accuracy). That paragraph in Plaster’s article unwittingly reveals that Bilozerska is a bloodthirsty distaff ghoul, one who enjoys killing and who, it’s easy to believe, gets her jollies screaming S. I. E. G. H. E. I. L in her off hours.
