A Correction
In my last post, I wrote that Panda Express in Centreville, Virginia (25 miles west of Washington, DC) is paying $14/hour for starters. I was wrong. It is actually $15/hour.
This is about 70 cents more than I earned in my first civilian Government “desk job” (which required a college degree) in DC in 2004. (!!!!!!!) And yet, they can’t seem to “keep” any employees besides a few older Asian ladies.
The prices at this Panda Express do not seem to have risen at all since 2019. However, the quality has gone sharply downhill—the food is basically mush. The meat is of low quality, and there’s almost no taste to anything, it’s just stomach-filler. In fact, it just took another leg down in the last few weeks.
Of course, any business seeking to maintain quality in today’s economy (and certainly, manufacturers and most other companies can’t just use “cheaper ingredients”), must pass its costs on to consumers by sharply raising prices. Which they are doing.
Fact is, price inflation is ACCELERATING. And that’s just how things stand now, not even getting into a potential energy shock or (as I anticipate) a much more deadly and destructive, Pann-de-mmyk of the Vakk-synn-ay-tted.
The Illuminati
Regarding my last post, I got a sh*tload of comments from people whose quasi-religious belief in the all-controlling power of “ancient, secretive, transnational families” (a.k.a. the Illuminati) I had offended.
I rejected most of these comments and blocked most of the commenters. I just don’t have time to wade through this crap.
George Soros is the single most influential person outside of government, on this planet. And yet, he “came from nothing”, not from some Illuminati family. Klaus Schwab grew up in much better circumstances, but, likewise, is not from a very high pedigree.
The Koch brothers, the leading and most consistent “mega-donors” to conservative and traditionalist causes in the USA…..
…..without whom the modern conservative movement (and in fact, the survival of the two-party system and some level of pluralism in the USA), as we know it, would not have been possible, trace their wealth only from the 1930s.
Most major U.S. political campaign donors including Bloomberg, Saban, Snyder, and the late Adelson are/were self-made men from modest (middle class at best) origins. Tom Steyer’s dad was richer but still nothing special. Yes, I know all the names in this paragraph are Jewish, but they’re not from some secret family.
Those pushing the U.S. Empire agenda are mostly bureaucrats and military-industrial lobbyists; they are responsible for millions of dead, wounded, and refugees, but they’re “faceless” and interchangeable like the rest of us; most of them hail from the middle class.
If you think all these people are just puppets or window-dressing because really, the Rothschilds and Gnomes of Zurich control everything, then you have to (1) identify each of these Rothschilds and Gnomes and what they do for a living, and (2) explain in specific terms, how they pull the strings.
If you can’t do that, you might as well be a schizophrenic, because you make about as much sense as a schizophrenic. Illuminati-cult dolts should get the hell off this blog. I’m not building a safe space for crap artists, that was never my intent. Thanks, have a nice day!

Jacob addressed that in his last or second from last video. There are subscribers from non-western countries where, if the blog went to a subscription basis they would not be able to afford it, even a small amount like $5 monthly subscription would have large bank charges attached.
Why not join locals? People who can contribute would – everything can still be free. Or do you have some sort of contribution account? Or just use Venmo?

From what you’ve said above I’m delighted to hear that its unlikely to be about the Illuminate or some wandering tribe many of whom have been for me, interesting, intelligent friends with a few nightmares thrown in for fun. Yes the West IS going to hell in a handbasket but who the ‘they’ are and whether or not ‘they’ have some Dr. Evil master plan orchestrating all of this of no interest to me. How do we survive, what happens next, what will the current leader of Ukraine do after Russian has finished de-Nazification (for him??) are the sorts of things that interest me most.

Education. Jewish folks have a high regard for it. Think about my European ancestors as Serfs and only could scratch an X for signature. Meanwhile fellow European Jews knew the three R’s at a basic level. You can see where that is still a problem. The more educated make more money and are resented by those who don’t. Pile on the generations more of those who are Jewish learning banking and business, than the rest of us, you get more of a collective knowledge.
It plays out here in the US with how more and more blacks are getting an education and making more money in the process. A hundred years from now (If we all survive) there will be some other group hating on the blacks because they have privilege. How about subcontinental Indians or many Asians. Here in the US almost all Indians I know are very educated and have good jobs or own businesses. This is not a small number either. Go to India (I have) and you will see poverty that makes the homeless camps in LA and San Fran look like luxury. Look at the Asian community. Most of them work hard and get educated, and therefore are more successful than their non-Asian counterparts. (Of course there are exceptions to all of it.)
You are right on the lack of a conspiracy. There are clearly people who have “agendas” but that is totally different from any idea that there is some form of overarching “conspiracy” engineered by people whose wealth dates back to the Normans or to the Founding Fathers.
Linked in provides much proof for me of the faceless bureaucracy driving things. All posts are made with people’s names, employers and job titles disclosed. Pretty representative of corporate and public sectors across levels from entry through to CEO. Many tens and even hundreds of thousands of members. The entire feed of posts is accordingly the most inane virtue signalling in accordance with whatever the latest “thing” is: be it vak-seen compliance, the woke agenda, pro Ukraine, climate orthodoxy or whatever. No minority positions of any form either. You might lose your job!
A conspiracy is not needed in this environment. There is a pretty aligned set of corporatist agendas that pretty much everyone involved professes to support. As seen on Linked In. These agendas also happen to be aligned with enabling many individual corporate / public sector careers and with supporting ideologies that make everyone feel good about themselves at the same time. What is there not to like if you are swept up in all this?

Concur with your futures assessment, although my perspective on the math is a bit different (and possibly way wrong, I am a well certified moron on such things) That said – it is perspective on valuation. I perceive the ‘hard’ (and by extension consumable commodities, under-girded by true hard commodities) – metals, energy, and downstream from them foodstuffs, as the ‘new gold’, in that they embody intrinsic value, for the simple reasoning (perhaps too simplistic) that a pound of aluminum, or steel, a cubic foot of natural gas, a barrel of oil, a bushel of corn or wheat – those are items with physical stability, or defined formulas for production, e.g. x amount of fertilizer produces y amount of grain, The x amount of fertilizer requires z amount of natural gas, or q amount of potassium. The changeable variable has been the units of dept – currency, as it is totally untethered. *wild idea alert* – perhaps the best way to destroy capitalism is to destroy the capital. . .Of what value is such a brilliant (cough cough) insight – I have no relational idea, but would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the relevance (or irrelevance, other than as a thought experiment). Russia is not a capitalist country. It’s a market economy. In capitalist nations capital i.e. business oligarchy rules. State officials are managerial class, proxies and puppets of business interests. It just happens that oligarchic best interest is not compatible with best interest of the population and nation as a whole. Bill Gates’ best interest and yours are in direct conflict and the state is not supposed to be captured by business class and made into its whore and private piggy bank. State should serve public interest by balancing complex and conflicted interests that exist in every society. That is the sole reason and existential purpose of State. In Russia and other market economies of the East political class rules. Russian state officials are not working for Yukos but for Russia. Khodorkovsky and his ilk tried to capture Russia and failed miserably. Remember that brilliant GOT quote about four men in a room – King, Priest, Richman and Sellsword? “Power resides where men believe it resides”. Power is a cultural derivate. In the West people believe that power resides in money, and in the East people believe that it resides in State. This major civilizational difference is result of different value systems of individualist and collectivist anthropological models. America is the best example. Did anyone ever go to America not hoping to become a millionaire? Rockefeller is the most powerful man in America no matter what the constitution says if everyone including POTUS believes that money, not crown, is the real power.

I think the US State Department and congresscritters have committed so much evil, a massive karmic blowback or some form of divine retribution has to be coming. Hello Jacob. Do you have any thoughts on the SES (Senior Executive Service)? From what I understand there are about 11k individuals in the SES and Obama in his eight years appointed 9k of these.
Does the SES have an agenda beyond good government or might they best be characterized as a “stay behind” shadow government for whom elections (even when legitimate) matter not?

Both Jacob and I work for feds. Speaking for myself and not Jacob. The SES numbers quoted do not sound right in terms of percentage that were a result of Obama. Regardless, employees that make make things happen don’t have opportunities for SES. They are reserved for complete ass-kissing yes men/women by in large. In two decades, I’ve worked under or directly for two dozen of them and known many more. Only trusted and respected two in this time. They both were forced out. Few are “leaders” vs managers. No SES that does the right thing will last. They risk being “relocated” to the opposite side of the country from where they work – unless they are yes men/women.
Political pressure is what they kneel to, not doing the right thing. Most of them would not last a year in the private sector at the equivalent position. In fact one ex-SES who left when Trump won, lasted exactly 30 days in next job. They are usually desired in private industry due to their rolodex. Hired for who they know inside agencies that will grease skids when juicy contracts are in play. The career climbers all want the position due to “prestige” and then being hired by contractor (for their rolodex) but reality is the respect they receive, is skin deep at best.
Their ineptness, is part of the problem. They get recycled to other agencies when they screw up. Rarely terminated. They move on to screw up the next agency or next department. They are too incompetent to be part of a shadow gov’t. That is left to others and they carry out the orders as the good yes men and women they are.
I think Jacob gave us a good example of the capabilities of those who are “employed” by CIA/SES and other 3 letter agencies when he told of how the head of the Iran desk was appointed some years back … apparently had no knowledge of Iran, didn’t speak the language, hadn’t visited and was actually only climbing the greasy pole when he was “selected”. Then suddenly he was advising the White House. Reminds you very much of the English sitcom “Yes Minister”
I like your in your face news and opinions. I am wondering in how you mentioned a commodity not going down as recessionary indicators predict. There has been much hype about the BRICS but dont think anyone thought any impact was possible least in any short time. However since its developing a basket of currency competing with the dollar perhaps it’s why oil is not dropping. Why would the price go down if your currency is not valued the same. This shift from west to east is the setting stage and things may change algorithmically as time passes. If Saudi joins the BRICS the dollar is on a fast track to worthless finding oil going higher against the dollar.
I would be very interested to see Bidon/Brandon negotiate with King Sulman. If Bidon is a geriatric as many seem to indicate how is he going to impress the king to pump more oil to aid Europe after giving Putin a hi five? We are no longer much of a democracy in the US, we are living under a corporate oligarchy nowadays. Antitrust enforcement was progressively weakened beginning with Reagan in the 1980s under the guise of “deregulation”, and quite predictability, this has led to an ever increasing concentration of corporate power, and to “regulatory capture” of US government regulatory agencies (the FDA, CDC, SEC, etc.) by corporate interests. For example, the power of the pharmaceutical industry over American society is enormous, and government bureaucrats in the FDA and CDC know that they will be rewarded with lucrative jobs in the private sector if they just play nice with Big Pharma. It is a very corrupt system.
I don’t understand why you have to focus on the caricature of “Illuminati” belonging to some secret society with esoteric rituals and handshakes. Monopoly capitalism is quite capable of directing society (or trying to) in a conspiratorial manner with very destructive effects, and this has been an existential struggle of our democracy going back at least to Teddy Roosevelt and his trust-bustiog policies…

Why do you eat at chain restaurants of any stripe? Try finding one of the few independent restaurants that the policy makers haven’t managed to kill off yet by overly taxing or overly regulating. Many such maintain high quality out of a sense of pride. Great examples of this can be found in “shithole” looking little holes in the wall in the San Antonio, Texas area where some of the most sublime Tex Mex food on the planet can be found on the menus of some really….lower end appearing buildings enclosing those establishments. Family pride demands quality in these facilities which is something that cannot be found in any chain.

like it or not i think very few people understands communism. i admired communism, because unlike most -isms it transcends nation, ethnos, religion, race… it unifies people not because of something they are born into, but something they chosen to believe into and die for with their free will, which i find more powerful and progressive.
