Home break-in assassination attempt in Crimea on leading Ukrainian exile Oleg Tsarev, a longtime legislator and top activist / organizer within the Ukraine's (now defunct) federalist camp, who finally fled the country after assaults and death threats circa 2016, went hard over to Russian side in 2022 & was tried & sentenced in absentia to 12 years jail. Not clear yet, but culprits *MAY* have been local thugs recruited virtually by Ukrainian military intelligence (a common scenario), not "professionals." Home must have been alarmed, cameras, etc., as Tsarev was a "known target." Tsarev was shot, is in hospital in critical condition, it doesn't sound good. As of right now, majority of Russian-language pundits or activists whom I follow(ed) on Telegram, have been killed or "attempted" by Ukrainian operatives.
