Dreizin confirms rumors: Chechen leader Kadyrov in Moscow hospital in serious condition, may die, if not then will likely retire. Proving Chechens not superhuman, former young lion, now almost 47, likely fell victim to world’s deadliest pandemic (sloth & obesity.) Not in good shape, had put on much weight very quickly, stopped going out much (or at all) since last year. Family patent to rule remains in place; he has two sane & sober sons, one of them the designated successor. However, to reflect likely imminent “reduced” status of family authority, reportedly, the family business (or the relevant monopoly patents or protection arrangements, whatever) Russia-wide is now being partially redistributed to other Chechens, in an organized manner.

Dreizin lunch break update: “A day of firsts.” Today saw first large-scale daylight air raid & first confirmed use of modern U.S. ADM-160 MALD decoy missiles against Crimea. Total Ukr attack assets involved: 11 Su-24M ground attack jets launching (not all aircraft actually launched something) total of 8 UK/French Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles & three ADM-160 MALDs. (All missiles launched, of course, at stand-off distance.) It appears that all cruise missiles were downed or deflected.

Through Russian mediation, Karabakh capitulates; negotiations for “reintegration” into Azerbaijan to begin tomorrow. There will obviously be no instant mass cleansing, but, no one’s gonna stick around for the long term, to live under Azeri laws, military administration, & “property return” to Azeri refugees or their descendants. Karabakh exiles with relatives in Russia, likely to be offered Russian visas, as Armenia can’t afford resettlement of ~100,000. Armenian govt remains in power as opposition is fragmented, & “Soros graduate” govt has majority support in capital city. Official line is to blame Russia for “not protecting” (yes, some people buy it, because some people buy anything the state media says), but truth is, cutting Karabakh loose was necessary for attempt at NATO & EU accession. It will be INTERESTING to see how “eager” NATO & EU are now to integrate this sh*t sandwich of a candidate. As I said, Turkey will want “rights” to/in/through Armenian land corridor to Azerbaijan. Armenian govt will NOT be able to blame Russia for that one, LOL. The fun has only just started.
