As a reminder, anyone wishing to comment must have donated to my cause, at least $5 within the preceding 60 days. (Donations can be made here.) This is to compensate me for my time taken to review all the mostly fine comments (some of them quite long, and, some people leave multiple comments on each post.) If you understand, I really appreciate your understanding. Anyone not on board with that, don’t bother commenting. As always, the Comments Policy is at bottom.
Uncle Dreizin Wants YOU!

Comments Policy
I really appreciate good comments. Many people come back here, in-between posts, just to read the comments. If you help me entertain them, you’re my hero. A few rules: This is not a chat board. Your comment must primarily, largely involve and directly touch upon something that, or someone whom, I wrote about in the post you’re commenting on. Life reminiscences (if relevant), relating your relevant personal experiences, your job, your commie college girlfriend, your idiot family members, your Ukrainian coworker, etc., if relevant, are all HIGHLY encouraged. The most interesting content here… is YOU. The only exceptions to the on-topic requirement, are if you’re calling attention to a technical problem with the site, or briefly stating how much you love the content or this Comments Policy. Don’t try to “legitimize” an off-topic comment by throwing in some little pre-thought or afterthought about what I wrote. NO DISCUSSIONS THAT STRAY FROM MY TOPICS. My topics are the only common denominator here, and while it may amuse you, most readers have no interest in your thoughts on the Punic wars, or on some guy named Serge, or on how much you generally / generically don’t like the Ukraine and Zelensky; it’s your way to kill your own time, but it adds no value for others. Which means, if you’re responding to someone else’s comment, your response must still relate directly to one of my topics. Doesn’t matter how much you generously donated, these rules apply equally to everyone. 350 word limit, no exceptions, 351 words won’t be published, sorry. No rambling. If you’re not sure what “rambling” is, ask yourself, “Are others likely to understand and appreciate or enjoy my comment, or am I merely jerking off“? Nazis, commies, worshipful groupies of Mercouris/Johnson/etc., Jew baiters/haters, FBI agents-provocateurs, guys who forgot to take their Ritalin, passive-aggressive needling of the sysop or of other commenters (to include, by dipshits who think their attitude will fly if they mention possibly maybe potentially giving me money at some point—yes, “you people” are all the same), random questions that have no bearing on what I wrote (to include requests for my view on some commentator I’ve never heard of), no-punctuation writing by the smartphone generation, silly “Nadsat” lingo picked up from “The Saker” website, use of the BS term “SMO“, ALL CAPS writing (a sure sign of untreated autism), obsessives who just can’t leave a topic alone after they’ve already said everything (and just want to repeat themselves), and autistic bitching about the satanic USA and its evil pedo pervert elites and how they must be killed (or other bile in that vein), will not be tolerated. If you’ve got issues, this is not your “let it go” zone. Don’t write anything here, that your therapist wouldn’t approve of.
Hi Jacob, it is my conclusion the prigozhin took his force east into Russia was possibly trying to capture shuigo and giranmoz (sp), who were touring the battle field. They managed to slip away.
With the loss of the opportunity, prigozhin was accepted in Belarus with approximately 25000 troops and 100 km from kiev. The whole Civil War was desescalated within 24 hrs. What an impressive success in crisis management. The world is standing back in alarm at the incredible outcome.
People who got it right: Dreizen, Scott Ritter, FighterBomber telegram channel (EARLY reported on the downing of multiple aircraft blithely flying around in Russian airspace, stabbed in the back by Wagner cultists) – The RAF boys appear to be – a bit – angry? Is that the word? And vexxed.
Putin and Co will make lemonade out of these lemons. Projecting weakness is never a good plan, but now the apparent vodka soaked warlords running amok in Russia will give the tighty whitey set in NATO a bit of a pause before they poke the freaking bear again. It’s almost like the mandate of H… oh never mind.
Also – I suggest you make a substack after all, you’re just slowing down your message board!
cheers, good sir
How or why couldn’t all of this been something like an unannounced fire drill at a kiddie school?
It was definitely real.
Thanks very much for all the money, you are awesome.
C’mon man. You would think that the government would have rounded up these insurrectionists with their secret security service and then held them in jail indefinitely without trial… uh, oops, I’m confused, this was Russia not USSA.
How on earth could Prigozhin ever hope to succeed against potentially the whole russian army? Prigozhin could be everything but dumb. Something just doesn’t add up.
It sounds like, if I told you where the Russian army is, you wouldn’t believe me. So, I won’t tell you.
The Rus military has yet to stop the Ukr military from shelling civilians
in the Ru-Donbas. Why?
If Mexico was shelling Texas for more than a year, there would be hell to pay against the desk-job generals who did nothing to stop it.
(1) Mexico is no military power.
(2) You should complain to Putin, who approved a “political” invasion to intimidate the regime in Kiev into signing a capitulation, with 50,000 men and hundreds of tanks doing very little near Kiev, rather than going all-out for eastern-most Ukraine or even just the Donbass, while there was an opportunity for some kind of quick results.
The Russian government tolerated Prighozhin’s increasingly strange and hostile behavior a lot more than one might expect. Perhaps they put up with it out of necessity, but maybe not. The insurrection did create opportunities to redeploy troops without raising suspicions and flush out pro-Western traitors within Russia so the mess is not without a silver lining for the Russians.
Very well said.
I thought only one leader was smoking crack cocaine in this conflict, and they were on the Ukraine side, but apparently Prig is also high as a kite. Now instead of fame and riches he’ll probably get a firing squad, or life in prison.
Edit: it’s also funny that Wagner downed more Russian aircraft and their ridiculous one day mutiny than the AFU in their 3 weeks of “great counteroffensive “
Yes. In fact, so far, the AFU has downed NOTHING (not one manned aircraft) during The Big Counteroffensive.
I don’t understand how this can just “end” with the shooting down of those aircraft. Will those soldiers just be forgotten? I find that hard to believe.
Maybe the Russians will just wait a bit before they retaliate, who knows. Maybe after taking Kharkov or something. Very confusing.
Prighozin will get to do what Erik Prince reportedly wanted- be the borderland mini empire like the Visigoths. https://time.com/6076035/erik-prince-ukraine-private-army/ No one else is gonna be there after this depopulation…
Thank you for today’s two updates — Prigozhin should be shot…
(In reply to Dreizin’s reply to Phil)
Yeah, put Wagner right back to work. Kharkov would be good; give them a chance to atone with a big, but difficult win. And deal fairly with them with respect to supplies and military support. Everyone should get their attention back to winning here, securing peace and (a fair amount of) freedom for all the people in the region.
But also, never take your eyes off them.
One thing that makes me wonder. If Prig was serious about this why did he keep pissing on everyone’s gate? He seemed to have called everybody out including the Chechens. One would think making everyone hate you to be a bad strategy in a situation like this. Another thing too is maybe he’s just nuts? He’s no doubt seen a lot of blood and guts. I’m sure the frontlines of Back moot would be enough to break most men.
Keep us posted Uncie Dreizin.
Also, a quick note of appreciation for these updates this weekend.
Information is sketchy while these events are in play, and even though you’re drawing some income now from your work here, it’s probably modest and working the weekend is never fun anyway (see the movie Office Space).
But you are a trusted source to go through and analyze what information comes available.
This insurrection attempt raises many questions, large and small. One relevant to this post:
Why exactly did Prigozhyn think the Russian military was incompetent?
Yes, I know he has been making a steady stream of public complaints about this and that for a long time, but I’m interested in his detailed report. As you note, he had enough conviction in his beliefs to act on them by leading a column straight towards Moscow.
I would think that even if Syphillis is left untreated long enough to affect the brain that it can surely be treatable. Or perhaps Prigozhn is suffering from some concussive disorder resulting from listening to his own bullshit repeatedly. What the fuck happened to the man or was he always………off?
So goes the potential for some future statue being erected in honor of the oligarch. Such folks have had a rough time in Russia over the past decade.
Oh well, back to grinding meat.
Hi Jacob,
I dont understand about today. Some people say about 15 pilots killed, hardware lost. People cheering on Wagner in Rostov. Evgeny being a super star while leaving Rostov.
How can wagners return to the front line and merge with other units knowing that 1 day ago they were towards Moscow with the idea to destroy the goverment
With this amount of confusion I dont know what to think.
Yes, it would be best to separate them from the army entirely, give them a province to take and manage, such as, perhaps Kharkov. And guarantee that all Wagner officers who want to leave the uniform, can work in the provincial security services or some other decent job there. Just thinking out loud.
