(I don’t do emails anymore, but am sending this as a one-off, to reach those who’ve forgotten about Dreizin.)
I would not make much of the U.S. House of Representatives vote to authorize confiscating Russian assets (frozen Gazprom bank accounts or whatever) to fund the Reich.
I have barely followed this, but, even reviewing it with just five brain cells, it’s CLEARLY intended so that “Maga Mike” can go on Fox and say that American taxpayers won’t be paying for Ukraine aid.
(The actual value of assets that could realistically be confiscated, is NOWHERE NEAR the amount they want to give to the Reich, but who’s counting?)
Of course, the “adults in the room”, a.k.a. the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government, don’t want to open this Pandora’s box.
No doubt, they will tell Senate Democrats—or whoever leads the “conference committee” to reconcile the House and Senate versions of whatever bill this confiscation provision has been, or will be, worked into—to DROP IT.
By that time, “Maga Mike” won’t care where the money comes from, LOL. And, Fox and MAGA Twitter will have moved on to something else. This is just how it works. In the words of Ani DiFranco, “Goldfish have no memory.”
For more about “MAGA Mike”, and why I don’t cover U.S. politics much anymore, please listen, below:

I personally believe *both* yours and Manny’s explanation. They use both carrot and stick to get these guys like ‘MAGA Mike.’ Money and threats. Personal and party-wide. Throw everything at him and at least one thing gets through. But as you say, it doesn’t matter.
The Reich getting their money on Hitler’s birthday is fitting though.
Thanks, great comment because I actually said “perhaps both”, in the first/rough draft of this audio. Meant to say it in the final recording, but forgot.
Maybe it is because I have conviction, but I would NEVER sell out my constituents or party. EVER. Being true to yourself is more important to me than a job offer or being voted out. At my day job with the feds, I have been held back for the same reason. I won’t compromise. And while I recognize that few are like me (i say that because I have witnessed there are few that would not sell their first born in return for a promotion), I see the drastic 180 degree turn overnight by these so call conservatives as a clear sign of a compromise. We have witnessed unprecedented lies and corruption at all levels of our government recently. Do you think it is a stretch to think these clowns have been compromised by these scoundrels? One of the few congressmen which I think is relatively honest is Burchett (TN). He stated the same observation recently (link below). Is a person working amongst the wolves a conspiracy nut too? Doesn’t matter – you are right. Nothing will change. GOP are gutless cowards, https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/republican-says-good-conservative-congressmen-are-being-blackmailed-just-because-they-got-naked-with-strangers-in-motel-rooms/ar-AA1lRRjE
Thanks Manny. The speed and shamelessness with which he lost his “principles” is indeed shocking. But, look at the Botox. That’s a lot of Botox. Doesn’t prove anything, of course… but it’s a lot!
Botox use can be classed as a
form of dissembling…so if true
Botox is a telltale sign of
underlying dishonesty.
“ At my day job with the feds, I have been held back for the same reason.”
Reminds me of …
“In government, the scum rises to the top”
– Friedrich Hayek
Yes, the absolute scum does rise to the top. It’s like a pyramid or iceberg… there’s a vast pool of psychopaths, asocials, and the spineless. Only the most talented in corruption and deceiving others—and who can lie to the public without blinking—rise to the absolute top.
But the true cream of the corrupt crop remains invisible to the public; they stay out of the limelight. For that they have the spineless.
*****
They, in the government, are the elite in being shit, possessing skills, in being shit, that come effortlessly and far surpass those of the ordinary person. What use do you have for a corrupt government composed of such people? They have no need for genuine talent—and even if you’d make it, you’d likely be ousted or burned out quickly.
What use is a government like this when you have skills and knowledge that could truly benefit society? How many engineers, farmers, nurses, or doctors are there in the government? How could anything good possibly come from such a government?
Is it money or evidence of something they’d rather keep secret that controls them? Or are they simply corrupt to the core? After all, without that, you wouldn’t make it far, let alone last in that snake pit.
I’m certain that all aspects apply—it’s either one or the other, or a combination of two or three. One does not exclude the other; in fact, often they reinforce each other. They’re career politicians; their only ideals are their careers and bank accounts. If slithering like a snake advances them, that’s what they’ll do. And what do you think happens when they’re at risk of losing that? They’ll be even more motivated.
There are few who remain true to themselves and don’t betray their values or deceive the people they ‘represent’. If any other (dis)functioning figure in society did what these politicians do routinely, they would have been in court or jail already… why do we make exceptions for politicians—why is this considered normal—are they legalized or tolerated gangsters?
These are career politicians, and they’ll sway with any wind that might benefit them, no matter how many victims it makes. They’re oblivious to the consequences. They are a conspiracy of foolish and wicked individuals conspiring to seize governmental power…
Are you guys at least in
agreement on his
use of Botox?
Haha. I am not skilled in detecting that. I know he is testicle-less. That’s about all I can confirm.
No balls AND a punchable face. One wonders how he survived high school
I just happened to catch this. James Wood thinks so too! What a POS he turned out to be. Listen to his BS. Sounds like you know who. Wow.. https://www.independentsentinel.com/james-wood-smacks-down-speaker-johnson/
Jeez Louise. Only watched perhaps a minute, so far… He might as well be Mitt Romney.
I got the money shot from that
MJ white privilege video:If
someone’s forehead doesn’t
move when they raise their
eyebrows, this usually indicates they’ve had Botox. MJ did a lot of eyebrow raising (so did I) and not one cease appeared on his
forehead….Botox confirmed.
AMEN. I love the descriptor: “structurally dickless.” You hit the nail on the head. Nothing is going to change. They are all compromised because of needing campaign funding, or because there exists glossy 8×10’s of them doing disordered things. 🙂
“Disordered”, LOLOL, nice.
Thank You. Just got done writing a scathing message to my “DICKLESS” Republican CongressBitch. No use. Thank You, Jacob for your message. I am Def comforted by it. I’ll be staying home on election day this year. Fuck them all!.
Thumbs up for your choice, it’s truly the best you can do.
Voting is pointless, that much is clear,
and NOT voting? Well, it’s better for your karma and sanity, too—
something you definitely can control.
Quit the circus, refuse to play the victim’s part,
You’ve got spine—use it! Let the spineless depart.
Don’t cast a vote that just sustains the mess.
Stand tall, walk away, and simply say no. Indeed, fuck them.
I think your analysis is correct. Johnson’s top policy advisors are Dan Ziegler, a lobbyist with the firm Williams & Jensen and National Security Adviser Josh Hodges.Hodges is the behind many of the most controversial Johnson policy decisions related to funding foreign wars, FISA, foreign affairs, and national security. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/04/17/exclusive-mike-johnsons-top-policy-adviser-is-former-lobbyist-clients-have-corporate-interest-in-ukraine-war/
Johnson is a Southern Baptist. He invited Pastor Jack Hibbs to serve as the Guest House Chaplain. This has resulted in a lot of controversy. Hibbs did a video 2 days ago pushing for support of Johnson and Israel aid. He claims he had an intercessory prayer with Johnson and his support for Israel. https://www.youtube.com/live/bkLhkpk-sDw?si=5onSFGlvdoZJNOS1
Ultimately, I agree with Jacob’s assessment of the situation of our country (and government to a large extent)
The main ‘’cause’ of the problem is the People.
Sure, Johnson or McCarthy didn’t help. But this sort of people are always replaced by similar sort of people in the end.
I always cannot see Trump’s second term, if materialized, make things much different
I think that if they send the frozen assets to Ukraine it´s a win-win for the US. They look good internally because of all this “Ukraine love” and on the other hand the Lockheeds of this world are happy as hell. Big order backlog and some more money to share with the Senate or the House.
Even those who wave the Ukranian flag there, already know that the conflict is “over” and is time to move on to Taiwan or something.
Cheers!
Short term win-win but longer term maybe not. The US government’s most valuable policy tool is its financial creditworthiness and doing this will tarnish it.
I have a hard time, “accept” that longer-term outcome. If BRICS can manage some kind of settlement currency, I would see that coming due soon. But, there are a lot of languages in BRICS (now even more) and I can imagine they don´t trust each other at all.
Another 100 Billion of borrowed money. Another 100 billion of Treasury issuance. It’s a travesty, but on the other hand it hastens the collapse of the entire money scheme. The collapse of Americas ability to borrow unlimited amounts and pay for foreign commodities and made goods with privileged USD is what powers the entire machine, including Johnson.
It’s also a bit funny because I read an article a day or 2 ago that said the Navy would only be building 1 Virginia class boat in 2025 rather than 2. The Navy’s been trying to ramp up production to 3 or even 4 boats for the last several years. Whatever progress they made, was just flushed down the toilet. On the other hand I did read/hear somewhere that the 95 billion included 3 billion for Navy Submarine command. but it wasnt clear if that was specifically to pay for a 2nd Virginia.
60 Billion for Ukraine – but the Navy claims that they will retire 19 ships in 2025 and build 6. Somehow DOD’s 850 billion budget is just not enough ?
Damn…I hate that you’re so correct – and I know you’re correct! My disdain for the Republican Establishment grows with their every vote.
