One of my most astute readers, “Stephen” in the UK, pointed out that the Democrat de-lawyering strategy against Trump and his circle, was organic and “distributed” (perhaps my word not his, but that’s what he meant), whereas the Trump Regime’s present attempts at de-lawyering opponents of its specific actions, is top-down and ham-handed.
Well, it’s not just the de-lawyering. The RainboWokeness that gathered steam at an accelerated rate from the mid-2010s (as “Leftists” completely ran out of any discernible/coherent economic ideology) and peaked in 2020-2021, was also, largely, bottom-up. It was university liberal arts departments, then advertisers and entertainment media, other corporations, and the news media (perhaps not in that order), and only then did the Democrats cautiously (through no big choice of their own; it was handed to them on a platter in the summer of 2020) but comprehensively saddle it.
The Trump Regime THINKS it can work its Reaction from the top, exclusively, WITHOUT any “mass movement” (other than the ILLUSION (2/3 “bots”) on Twitter, which has become their poor, ree-tarrded echo-imitation of both a mass movement and of a “consent” engine, seeing as the USA, same as the Roman Republic upon which it was inspired, is structurally and psychologically weighted towards at least a credible imitation of broad consensus-based governance, and the Trump Regime needs at least some mirage of that.)
The Trump Regime is DEAD WRONG.
These SCUM don’t even know their own country.
Even without “what’s coming” economically (although that will surely help!!!), the USA is still, despite everything, much too great, for any one faction to completely seize it within a few months or even a few years.
It’s clear, these fuckers are already on the back foot, and it’s only going to get worse and worse for them.
This is not Russia, sorry. Within the context of a diffuse, broadly-distributed influence structure, the SCUM will not be able to intimidate and shut down the opposition, without resorting to an at-gunpoint, dictatorship-level crackdown.
It is amazing, that the SCUM need a lecture on American greatness from a minor, Russia-loving alt-blogger.
In the context of the latest (March 25, 2025) news, please listen to my additional facts and thoughts on this matter:

UPDATE: I just read that Speaker Johnson has “Hey, I’m just saying…..”-threatened to defund and eliminate one or more (unspecified) Federal courts. Oh, boy, These SCUM still don’t realize, they do not have a “conservative majority” on the U.S. Supreme Court. Other than that, clearly, this is an echo of when the Democrats gained power in 2021 and pursued their trifecta of HR1/S1 (the nationwide elections takeover bill), DC statehood, and (always less likely, but nonetheless discussed) packing more judges on the Supreme Court. Of course, the Democrats had the winds of economic recovery at their sails. Today, the TrumPublicans…..

As you noted previously, the judiciary will preserve its own power and role within the system when push comes to shove. Nothing has changed in that regard before or since Marbury v Madison.
Yes!
The number of and funding of ‘inferior’ federal courts and the judges within are established and controlled by Congress. It should be safe to say that any meaningful overhaul of the court system right now would be an impossible task to pass both the House and the Senate.
In theory Congress could cut funding, reduce the number of judges, consolidate districts, and/or strip jurisdiction (among any other number of radical ideas) but any such changes would be both short lived and likely lead to the ultimate constitutional crisis in any number of scenarios.
Two things Congress explicitly can not do under the Constitution is reduce the pay of existing judges or abolish the Supreme Court. In the entire history of the USA – only 15 federal judges have been impeached and only 8 removed (last one impeached and removed was in 2010 based on perjury during an inquest into bribery accusations). Thus, the recent threat of impeachment of judges is nothing more than that old guy in the Simpsons yelling at the clouds.
The universal “careful what you wish for” maxim rings ever true – someday the Democrats may likely find themselves in a position of control to not only undue any such extreme measures taken today, but push the system to the other extreme.
Old guy in the Simpsons, hahahah nice!
Love the analysis in the audio.
