Bringing down an aircraft (with an enemy inside) is a well-established technique, used worldwide for generations. There is some deniability, “it was an accident” or “it was terrorism, let’s find the terrorists.”
Also, it wasn’t just one man on the plane, it was Wagner’s entire senior command.
It wasn’t shot down BTW, it was bombed.

I don’t see a Russian advantage to plane exploding Prigozhyn at least at this time in Africa where Wagner was viewed by many African countries as a great source of training (and more). I would think some western parties might have a stronger motive as they seem to buy into the only partially deserved hype of Wagner being an invincible group of hired death.

Nonsense, Prigozhyn was one of the most “secure” persons in Russia, almost like Putin. No one knew where he was at any given time. By the time his PR team released any video, he was no longer even remotely near that location. He moved around constantly.
You seem just a little bit sensitive to potential accusations (which no one in the MSM has yet made!) that it was Don Puteone tying up loose ends. Why start shilling so early in the day? Just relax and let Dreizin handle it.

A bit overly obvious I would have thought – and if they do try to blame it on the Ukrainians it makes Russia look weak and vulnerable to Ukrainian espionage.
But also, bad form to offer an amnesty/pardon and then off the person shortly afterward. Does not encourage people to think you will stick to the spirit of an agreement.
Should have waited for longer and done the deed in Africa. That said, this way Russia controls the ‘investigation’.
And final thought, brings the whole sad mess back into the eye of the international media.

I wonder if the RUAF Pilots association decided he had to go, dispite the Kremlin’s kiss and make up, that wouldn’t surprise me, the fly boys are usually a pretty tight crew. If it came from the top I wonder if Putin orders it directly, or it’s more on the lines of ‘will somebody not rid me of this turbulent priest’ kind of thing, O to be a fly on the wall.

I could fill a bathtub with all the snark on this site –not only in the supposed reporting but the comments as well. How about three or four sentences (in coherent English) which explain why AND HOW the plane carrying Yevgeny Prigozhin was “bombed;” who did it (and why)? What will the consequences be?
I will donate (again) if I can simply read a report aimed at people (like me) who are not insiders on all the Wagner vs. Putin vs. Ukraine vs. US, etc.

If it was bombed, given it left Moscow… the security was obviously top and all the people on board were vetted. So… I would say virtually no chance the Nazis or Anglo-Saxons could have had access… Therefore, if it was bombed, not too many alternatives…
So Dreizin this leads me to ponder…has Surovikin really been removed from his position? If so was he really a co-conspirator? If excommunicated from his official duties, was it to take over in the newly vacant head of Wagner? And could they have made him a part of the putsch in order to have him look like a viable target for the US to turn? Soooo many questions….what do you think?
