So Dreizin this leads me to ponder…has Surovikin really been removed from his position? If so was he really a co-conspirator? If excommunicated from his official duties, was it to take over in the newly vacant head of Wagner? And could they have made him a part of the putsch in order to have him look like a viable target for the US to turn? Soooo many questions….what do you think?
I think, if you really want me to answer all this for you… then you should give me more than just five dollars once every six months. I’m not a juke box that plays songs for peanuts. Got other things to do with my time.
If it was bombed, given it left Moscow… the security was obviously top and all the people on board were vetted. So… I would say virtually no chance the Nazis or Anglo-Saxons could have had access… Therefore, if it was bombed, not too many alternatives…
I could fill a bathtub with all the snark on this site –not only in the supposed reporting but the comments as well. How about three or four sentences (in coherent English) which explain why AND HOW the plane carrying Yevgeny Prigozhin was “bombed;” who did it (and why)? What will the consequences be?
I will donate (again) if I can simply read a report aimed at people (like me) who are not insiders on all the Wagner vs. Putin vs. Ukraine vs. US, etc.
Russia is in an existential struggle with the US, an adversary with a (so far) unlimited credit card funding a psychopathic stooge that will endure any hardship so long as it can kill one more Russian.
Russians need to all be getting out their rifles, circling their wagons, all hands on deck–pick your metaphor.
They do not need the Prigozhyn melodrama. Which now enters its latest chapter with the man’s apparent death.
Not wanting to spam the thread..
Was it unusual for the entire command staff of Wagner to travel in one plane? Yeah know about that not having the President and the VP on the same plane.
I wonder if the RUAF Pilots association decided he had to go, dispite the Kremlin’s kiss and make up, that wouldn’t surprise me, the fly boys are usually a pretty tight crew. If it came from the top I wonder if Putin orders it directly, or it’s more on the lines of ‘will somebody not rid me of this turbulent priest’ kind of thing, O to be a fly on the wall.
A bit overly obvious I would have thought – and if they do try to blame it on the Ukrainians it makes Russia look weak and vulnerable to Ukrainian espionage.
But also, bad form to offer an amnesty/pardon and then off the person shortly afterward. Does not encourage people to think you will stick to the spirit of an agreement.
Should have waited for longer and done the deed in Africa. That said, this way Russia controls the ‘investigation’.
And final thought, brings the whole sad mess back into the eye of the international media.
I don’t see a Russian advantage to plane exploding Prigozhyn at least at this time in Africa where Wagner was viewed by many African countries as a great source of training (and more). I would think some western parties might have a stronger motive as they seem to buy into the only partially deserved hype of Wagner being an invincible group of hired death.
Like all the super poisonings Putin has been said to be part of……….whose diagnosis records are never shown and the victims magically recover……again I smell bullshit.
If it was a western led mission that killed the man and some higher ups in Wagner it does prove one point. Prigozhyns pride that always led him to seek out any and all cameras, may have helped geo locate the man and some of “his” men and thus possibly targeting them. The guys pride caught up with him.
Whatever, perhaps at some point soon or late we will find the truth. And when we awaken tomorrow there will be two suns in the sky.
Nonsense, Prigozhyn was one of the most “secure” persons in Russia, almost like Putin. No one knew where he was at any given time. By the time his PR team released any video, he was no longer even remotely near that location. He moved around constantly.
You seem just a little bit sensitive to potential accusations (which no one in the MSM has yet made!) that it was Don Puteone tying up loose ends. Why start shilling so early in the day? Just relax and let Dreizin handle it.
In an earlier post: “according to the most reliable source I’ve ever relied on, Wagner presently controls most border crossings into Niger.”
How will losing “Wagner’s entire senior command” affect that control?
Bringing down an aircraft (with an enemy inside) is a well-established technique, used worldwide for generations. There is some deniability, “it was an accident” or “it was terrorism, let’s find the terrorists.”
Also, it wasn’t just one man on the plane, it was Wagner’s entire senior command.
I also heard that Surovikin was also removed from position. This is such a “dont fuck with the padrino” moment. Do you think ukranian junta should be shitting bricks now that Putin is showing some teeth?
LOL, yes. It’s too bad about Surovikin, but it does feel like that 30-second segment in some mafia films, where the “protagonist” lashes out and pulls a hit on this guy, and that guy, and the other guy…..

Why would a British rapper be mixed up in all this?
No, the other Fredo.

Bingo.

The Prigozhyn drama will end very soon, because he’s dead. He’s no Jesus… nor even an Elvis.

Funny to see how people overgeneralize on scant information.
Wait and see how Wagner’s operational capabilities are affected by “the plane crash”, and many questions will answer themselves.
Good point, but, no one here “overgeneralized” about anything, I see people just asking questions.

What are the chances that it was done by a hostile foreign intelligence structure?
Rather low. But, I imagine the Ukraine will be blamed. Who else can they blame?

Good question. I have no idea.
All of the comments are various sites say Putin shot it down. Why. If Putin wanted him dead, and maybe he did, couldn’t he do it in less dramatic way?
Bringing down an aircraft (with an enemy inside) is a well-established technique, used worldwide for generations. There is some deniability, “it was an accident” or “it was terrorism, let’s find the terrorists.”

It wasn’t shot down BTW, it was bombed.
OMG, LOL, sorry; you are sooooo right. That guys days were numbered.
Either he got “fredoed” or he got “budanoved”…
Jones just wouldn’t let go of that corner office. End of Movie, A Shock to the System with Michael Caine
Wow.
