  • Dreizin “personal” insight, January 27th, 2025: I used to know, and very briefly worked for, the current Acting Administrator (evidently the only senior civil servant left there) of USAID, who has “suspended-with-pay” and is investigating tens of employees who allegedly may have tried to (as I understand it) rush contracts/payments out the door AFTER Rubio’s spending freeze had taken effect. This guy is ROCK-SOLID ETHICAL and more than eligible to retire with maximum pension, and would NOT be messing around for a purely political, ass-kissing agenda. The moral of this story is, like it or not, lay low and CUT OUT THE ACTIVE RESISTANCE BULLSHIT. There are ways to passively resist so that you don’t get run over yourself, but do not actively sabotage the political agenda—just let it play out in the courts and in public opinion and the midterms, and let the chips fall where they may. In short, no sympathy for dumb motherfuckers trying to help their (Democrat) cronies. There is a REASON the new regime is targeting USAID first and foremost.
