Many still can’t believe it was real, not hoax. Yes, it was MAXIMALIST power grab by “classic” egomaniac mutineer. Prigozhyn saw himself as God’s nephew, Russ army as incompetent. As mentioned (more/less) by other analysts as diverse as Strelkov (who PREDICTED Wagner coup for this autumn) & Kim Dotcom, he was hoping to be “savior” following military disaster, BUT, Russ success against Ukr counteroff., tipped his hand. Coup using forces driving nonstop on long road trip to Moscow, w/ only the munitions they carried w/ them, was OBVIOUSLY based on expect. of QUICK, PANICKED DISSOLUTION of state authority / function. HOWEVER, relatively small Wagner force that was utilized (total mutineers everywhere, very likely under 6,000), coupled w/ (1) Putin’s forceful declaration of illegal mutiny (2) central state’s ability to RAPIDLY coordinate & clear civilians off LARGE stretch of M-4 highway to create free-fire area near Moscow for strategic aviation, & (3) loyalty/backbone among Russ forces, to incl. 4th Guards Tank Div. near Moscow & Chechens redeploying from Belgorod to near Rostov, all deflated Wagner, likely caused Wagner commanders (mostly, fired or otherwise pissed-off former Army officers) to pressure Prigozhyn to accept Belarus exile. Despite Wagner’s damage/downing of up to 6 heli’s & 1 transport plane (WTF, why?), army is intact, Wagner ranks too. Looks like fokking up Ukr is back on table. Haters (who know Dreizin too honest to keep bad news to himself) can go back to EATING SHYT!!!

Wagner chief Prigozhyn, facing reduced public exposure, reduced funding, and possible total subjugation to Defense Ministry, and evidently planning a coup for weeks at least, takes some (not large) fraction of his forces that were in Lugansk, supposed to be preparing a Kharkov offensive, and launches insurrection against Russian government, aims to replace Putin and run the country as a “caudillo” with an extremely vague populist anticorruption platform (of course, he has no support and the entire country would collapse in bloody anarchy.) His recent lunatic statements about Ukrainian deep advances in Zaporozhie can now be seen in context of intending to launch coup during a military collapse. The collapse didn’t happen, but he acted anyway. Wagner now occupying Rostov (site of Russian military southern command) and moving on Moscow in reportedly four separate columns with strong air defense incl. Pantzir systems. 3 or 4 Russian heli’s (crews apparently survived) and possibly one transport aircraft already shot down. Large-scale road closures and uncertainty could doom the front to munitions starvation within potentially days if situation not resolved. Use of tactical nuclear weapons on roads leading to Moscow is possible.
